preparing for Hurricane Sandy here....landfall expected at five pm, water already over the docks across the street on the Connetquot river....the west side of the river, when e we are, is higher than the east. So we are not experiencing flooding yet....schools and government offices closed as we are expecting very high winds...took our boat out of the water thank goodness and baked bread (not sure why that makes any sense, the bread I mean) .....we are as hunkered down as we can get! Tara
