more meadow pleasures 2




he insects included these common blues (male and female) on meadowsweet, and a red admiral on knapweed

Have never seen one of these - just the most stunning colour ever.

We visited Trethorne last week and just behind the holiday cottages they have built at the entrance there is the most astonishing display of meadow flowers - obviously carefully tended and not growing there by accident. Must try to get back there to take a pic.

goodness gracious, yes those colours are just wow! you're camera is pretty good too- like you can see the hairs on the wings
